back to circa 1999
I've been playing the trance station on ITunes for studying and it keeps my mind focused for a little longer than usual. I always thought trance helps me to focus when I have to sit in front of my computer and do work. I googled to find out if there is any relationship with sustained attention and trance music. I found this from a blogger who states that trance/classical are both helpful when studying:
"I have done an exhaustive study on Trance music and the brain. Here is what I have come to conclusion to. Trance is in fact directly related to Classical, as well as the classic hymns of the 17th century (because of their repetitiveness and the fact that it is a written music, and also it goes by a specific set of chord harmonies commonly found in Baroque Classical). It is also related to a form of music called Ambient. This is where trance gets it's relationship to Classical in the musical evolutionary tree."
Ok, now back to writing.

DRAW SOMETHING.. with no skills
So much crap to finish, but decided to DL Draw Something. Is this the most awesome game or what?!
For my first game, I chose a random game and a player named Hakeem was my opponent. I went first. The word was corn. I thought it looked decent, considering I only had 4 colors to choose from (had to collect more coins for more colors). Hakeem had a hard time figuring out my drawing and guessed "Lion." WTF? I was sort of offended. Well it was my turn to guess his.
He wrote, not drew, the word "Bell." I took a lucky guess and typed in "Bell." I won. Thanks, Hakeem! <3

I made a mental list of all the things I did this weekend to avoid work:
1. Update my Yelp reviews.. still working on this
2. Went to the gym twice in a single day. I saw my friend who I told an hour earlier that I was busy writing a paper. Apparently, he told me the same thing himself. That makes us both liars and bad students.
3. Went to the park and attempted to have a picnic my bf with pre-made goods from Trader Joes. I LOOVE the premade salads! Well, my bf's dog's toe started bleeding from all the running around, so we left early.
4. Went to SCP to return a tote bag. I loved the saffiano material (I don't take care of my shit so this material is just awesome) but I just couldn't justify keeping such a large bag that I'll never use. I usually only carry cross-bodies on the weekends. Hands free are theeeeee best.
5. Bought a tub of ice cream and a pack of cones. Yup, I probably had about 1/4 of the tub. Hence, my trips to the gym.
6. Writing in this blog.
A picture of what I'm going to look like after being holed my in my room til June.
